Crafty Crafty Crafty!

I know everyone is just dyyyyyying to see the items I've painlessly (ha ha) whipped up. Here are a few:

Above is a skirt I sewed just today using a tutorial found on: http://http//www.christynelson.net/2009/06/make-free-skirt-pattern-pick-your-panels/

It was super easy to put together but then Elyse said it felt scratchy on the inside. Hmmm...I remember stashing a flannel sheet of hers that she'd decided to cut up with a pair of hidden scissors when she was supposed to be napping. I dug it out and used the same template to line the skirt which you can see here:

The hot pink sparkly fabric was nabbed from the remnant bin at JoAnns and the flower fabric was left over from another project. As mentioned, the lining was a sheet in its former life.

A skirt with colors as obnoxious as those needs a shirt to go with it, right? Right! So I traced a Hello Kitty from a coloring book onto some felt and embroidered the details.

VIOLA! The perfect outfit for an uber picky 4 year old princess!
